After graduating, she worked in a small animal hospital in the North of Portugal and then completed an academic small animal internship at the teaching hospital of UTAD.<\/p><p>She eventually moved to the UK where she worked in a first opinion small animal hospital for a year. Her interest in cardiology grew stronger and in order to pursue this, Maria Ines undertook a rotating internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, followed by a cardiology internship at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists.<\/p><p>Maria Ines completed a Cardiology residency at the University of Edinburgh between 2019 and 2022, whilst studying towards an MSc that was awarded in 2022.
