\u2013 regular work as a self-employed practitioner between 1985 and 1993, in two veterinary clinics, being involved in all aspects of this practice, including surgical activities, supervision and emergencies.<\/p>
\u2013 in the framework of the Small Animals Clinics of the Ecole Nationale V\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire de Lyon (Internal Medicine Unit), starting in 1986, with hospital staff training and clinical consultation. Starting in 1993, consultations on referred cases in Hematology and Immunopathology.<\/p>
2.Teaching veterinary medicine: from 1986, teaching assistant (mainly in the clinical field). In 1993, appointment as a Lecturer in Clinical Pathology, then, in 1994, Assistant Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine, and Professor in 2007. 1998 \u2013 2010: Director of the Internal Medicine Clinical and Teaching Units in the Small Animals Department. 2007 to 2016: Head of the Small Animals Department. Head of the Clinical Sciences (Companion Animals and Equine) Department, 2016 – 2022. Participation in teaching at postgraduate and post-university levels organized by the other Ecoles Nationales V\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires, and FECAVA. Participation (lectures and papers) in numerous professional conferences, in France and elsewhere.<\/p>
3.Research activities:<\/p>
1988 \u2013 2005: Applied clinical research in canine immunopathology, mainly orientated towards the origins of auto-immune diseases, and notably the canine model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.<\/p>

Pr Luc CHABANNE<\/strong><\/p>Luc Chabanne is graduate from the French National Veterinary Schools (Lyon, 1985). Master of Sciences in Hematology and Immunology, PhD, accreditation to supervise research. Professor (Small animal internal medicine) at the University of Lyon.<\/p>
He started his career as a veterinarian (veterinary practice between 1985 and 1993), then took a position at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and School of Lyon, VetAgro Sup. Head of the Clinical Sciences Department (companion animals and equine) (2007 \u2013 2019) and currently Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.<\/p>
His research initially focused on autoimmune diseases in dogs.
