She soon moved across the Tasman Sea to complete her veterinary studies graduating from The University of Sydney in 2017. After 8 months in a primary care practice she developed a keen interested in surgery and moved to the U.K. to start her journey to become a surgical specialist. Sorcha completed two internships, one rotating internship at The University of Glasgow and a surgery specific internship at Fitzpatrick Referrals. Soon after, Sorcha made her way back to Sydney to complete her residency training in small animal surgery as well as a double masters in veterinary clinical studies and veterinary research.\u00a0Sorcha has recently presented her research on surgical staplers in feline enterectomy at the ECVS 2024 congress in Valencia after publication in JFMS. Sorcha\u2019s other research interests include orthopaedic biomechanical studies which was the focus of her masters\u2019 project. Sorcha has a keen interest in all aspects of small animal surgery and especially enjoys getting to know her patients and clients to create a team approach to patient care.
