Dr. Nataliia Ignatenko is a passionate veterinarian and educator dedicated to improving the lives of animals suffering from cancer. After graduating with honors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of NAU in Kyiv, Ukraine, she completed here her PhD in 2001. In 2004, she undertook a clinical internship at the CTK Small Animal Surgical Clinic, LMU Munich. Alternating postgraduate education with constant clinical practice, she completed her residency in the Oncology Department of the Small Animal Clinic at LMU Munich under the mentorship of Professor Hirschberger and was awarded Diplomate status by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine—Oncology (ECVIM-CA) in 2022. With 29 years of clinical experience, she remains deeply committed to advancing veterinary oncology through research, international collaboration, and daily clinical practice.

Dr. Ignatenko is the author of numerous scientific and popular publications in veterinary oncology and endocrinology. She actively shares her expertise by mentoring and teaching postgraduate colleagues across Europe and Central Asia—. As a speaker at WSAVA she values international dialogue and believes in the power of shared.
