The reasons for deciding on a postgraduate qualification are many. For some it’s the first step towards specialisation but it is often not the only motivation.

Some choose a PgCert because they can see a geographical gap in service provision and are aiming for a peripatetic career that’s also close to home.

Others have identified that one topic that they never feel completely confident about and would like to turn that current perceived weakness into a strength. Some are simply following their passion, having found the specialty that fascinates them.

Current. Relevant. Flexible

We strongly believe that learning should be current and relevant, so our courses are livestreamed each time and recorded to give you flexibility. Our world-leading speakers will share recent trends, actively discuss your cases with you, and respond to new events and discoveries.

University-accredited

Accredited to University Level 7, and carry 30 ECTS (European credits), equivalent to 60 UK credits.

More than a certificate

Wondering what’s possibly with a PgCert? We know that many of our course participants aim to be more rounded, confident clinicians with all the improvements in job satisfaction this level of training entails.

Level 7 qualifications

All Ifevet PgCerts are Level 7 qualifications, providing 30 ECTS (European credits), which are equivalent to 60 UK credits. This means the certificate can act as gateway to master’s or PhD qualifications.

Achieve your goals faster

You can achieve this level of qualification in as little as seven months and with the teaching emphasis on improving clinical thinking and practical competence, it can make a difference to how you approach cases very quickly.

Pathway to RCVS advanced practitioner

We know that some vets are thinking ahead and looking for an eligible qualification that allows them to apply for the RCVS Advanced practitioner qualification. This requires a longer commitment of 12-14 months and includes structured assessments designed to evaluate how participants apply their knowledge in clinical practice, through coursework, independent study and practical, case-based assessments.

RCVS-accredited Neurology PgCert

The RCVS-accredited Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Neurology: PgCert. Neuro. Ifevet (APR) is now available from Ifevet.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career, take it with an Ifevet postgraduate certificate.
