Andy graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), London. He then spent several years in mixed and then small animal practice before he completed an internship at Bristol Vet school. Following this Andy spent a year as an anatomy demonstrator Bristol university teaching undergraduates, becoming an associate fellow of the higher education academy, before returning to the Royal Veterinary College to complete a three year residency programme. Andy passed the qualifying examination for the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) and became a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) recognised specialist in small animal surgery in 2018.

Following his residency, Andy spent a further three years working at the RVC as a lecturer in Small Animal Surgery when he completed a post graduate certificate in veterinary education, before moving into private referral practice in the South West of England. Andy enjoys all aspects of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
