Dr. Paolo Monticelli graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Torino (Italy) in 2009. After few years in private practice in Italy, Paolo completed an anaesthesia internship at UCD Veterinary Hospital (Ireland) before starting the residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the RVC (London, UK). In 2017, Paolo finished the residency and graduated at from the Master of Veterinary Science of the University of London. Paolo has become a Diplomate in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2018. Paolo began working as a clinician at the RVC before joining DWR Veterinary Specialists in 2020 and he took over as head of anaesthesia in 2022. In 2024, Paolo  was made a Fellow of the RCVS. In 2022, Paolo became head of Anaesthesia at DWR Veterinary Specialists and he was awarded Fellow of the RCVS in 2024. Dr. Monticelli enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia, but he has a specific interest in cardiac anaesthesia, local anaesthetic techniques and training in veterinary anaesthesia.
