After graduating in Portugal (UTAD), Ana spent several years working as a veterinarian in Portugal before undertaking an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cambridge University (UK). She then completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh (UK) where she continued to work as a locum lecturer for a few months. Ana worked in private referral veterinary hospitals in France, the UK and Portugal. Ana was a lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine at several Portuguese universities. Ana is an Internal Medicine consultant at IDEXX Laboratories (UK) and works as an Internal Medicine specialist at a veterinary hospital in Portugal. Ana is a European Diplomate in Veterinary Small Animal Medicine (DipECVIM-CA) and has the RCVS Specialist title in Small Animal Medicine (Internal Medicine).
