Andrew Murray

BVMS(Hons), DipECVAA, MRCVS EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

Andrew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2019, before completing a rotating internship at a busy referral hospital with a well-established out-of-hours service. He then returned to Glasgow in 2020 to start his residency and combined Masters investigating the selection and use of anaesthetic breathing systems in small dogs. Andrew achieved his European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in December 2025. He is due to graduate from his Masters in the summer of 2026.

Andrew enjoys all areas of anaesthesia and analgesia, but his areas of interest include ventilation, local anaesthesia techniques and anaesthetic management in critical cases.
Following obtaining his diploma, Andrew has remained at the University of Glasgow as a clinician in veterinary anaesthesia.

Andrew also has experience teaching the undergraduate curriculum at the University. He is also involved in the coordination of a seminar programme for the interns at the hospital.
