Rachel Lavoue

DVM, Msc, PhD, Dipl. ECVIM-CA Internal Medicine Associate professor in Internal Medicine at the National Veterinary School of Toulouse, France

Rachel Lavoué graduated in 2004 from the Vet School of Maisons-Alfort (ENVA) in France. After a rotating internship in Companion Animal at the same school, she worked in private practice for 1 year before joining a European residency program in Internal Medicine at the University of Liège in Belgium. She completed the residency program and then started a PhD at the Vet School of Toulouse (ENVT) in France on the characterization of a familial glomerular disease in Bordeaux Dogs (French Mastiff). After having obtained my PhD degree she was recruited as an assistant professor in Internal Medicine at the ENVT, which position she still occupies currently.

She exclusively practices in Internal Medicine at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the ENVT and developed a referral clinical activity in uronephrology. She effectuates her activities of clinical research at the UMR1436 INRA/ENVT INTHERES and focuses mainly on screening of kidney diseases and urinary tract infection in both dogs and cats. 

Rachel Lavoué is the author of several international publications in uronephrology and is actively implicated in continuing education for French veterinary practitioners in this field.
