Andy studied veterinary medicine and surgery at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. After graduating, he worked for two years in small animal general practice where he developed a strong interest in oncology. Andy then undertook a rotating internship followed by an ECVIM oncology residency at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), United Kingdom. He is an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Oncology, and currently works as a lecturer in veterinary oncology at the RVC.

Andy’s clinical interests include canine mast cell tumours, sentinel lymph node mapping, and novel diagnostic and therapeutic methods. In addition to his clinical work Andy teaches undergraduate veterinary students, supervises oncology residents, and undertakes research. He has completed a post-graduate certificate in veterinary education.

Andy has published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and is Associate Editor of the new ‘Veterinary Oncology’ journal. He has been invited to speak at conferences nationally and internationally and is a frequent contributor to oncology CPD courses.
