Brigite Pedro
DVM MSc DipECVIM-CA(Cardiology) MRCVS
Brigite graduated from the University of Porto in 2008.
In 2009 she completed a general internship at the VRCC, a referal center in the south of England. The following year, she completed an internship in Small Animal Cardiology at the University of Liverpool, where she returned in 2012 to start a residency in Veterinary Cardiology. After completing her residency, Brigite stayed at the University of Liverpool as a lecturer until 2016, when she moved to Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, where she worked until 2021. Brigite is currently living in Portugal and working as a cardiology consultant for Virtual Veterinary Specialists and IDEXX telemedicine.
Brigite also completed a master’s degree in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology at the University of Porto in 2014. She was awarded the title of European Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology by the European College of Internal Medicine in 2016. In 2017, she started a PhD in atrial fibrillation in dogs.
