Carlos Pizarro

Carlos graduated in 2009 by the University of Cordoba (Spain) and joined the Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia and Emergency and Critical Care services at the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Cordoba after completing a Masters degree in Small Animal Medicine, Surgery and Welfare at the same University in 2010. In 2015, Carlos completed an internship in Anaesthesia at the University of Liverpool before starting a one-year internship in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of California Davis in 2016. In 2017, he joined the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Glasgow, where he currently leads the Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Service. In 2024 he completed a non-conforming residency training in Emergency and Critical Care at the Small Animal Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) under the directives of the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC).
Carlos is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS).
