Cassie qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2021. During her nursing training she developed a passion for exotic species and wildlife, particularly rabbits.

She is passionate about improving welfare and husbandry for rabbits and all exotic animals. Cassie volunteers for the Association of Zoo and Exotic Animal Veterinary Nurses and has done various lectures for them over the past few years, varying from rabbit behaviour to medical conditions like Enzcephalitozoon Cuniculi.

Her free time is still very much focused around rabbits. She enjoys rescuing and rehabilitating rabbits as well as spending time with her own 4 rabbits. She also works closely with a local rabbit rescue and enjoys researching various aspects of rabbit care that can improve how we treat rabbit patients.
