Prof. Chiara Adami always had a keen interest for the Academic environment, where she based most of her career. She left her home country shortly after graduation and moved to Switzerland, where she became a European and American board-certified specialist in anaesthesia (ECVAA and ACVAA Diplomate), and was employed by the Vetsuisse University of Bern first as a Senior Training Scholar and, following, as Clinical Lecturer. In 2015, Prof. Adami moved to the United Kingdom to start her new employment as Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the Royal Veterinary College (University of Londin). Since 2021 she has been working at the University of Cambridge, where she is currently Professor in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Pain management and anaesthesia/analgesia of non-conventional animal species are her main research interests; at date, her scholarship portfolio comprises more than 80 scientific publications in international peer review scientific journals.
