Hayleigh graduated from the University of Brighton in 2017 and joined North Downs Specialist Referrals as a rotating nurse soon after, working across the wards, theatre and diagnostic imaging departments. Hayleigh worked as a rotating nurse for several years before transitioning into a Wards Nurse, and later Wards Supervisor role, overseeing 5 busy wards as part of her supervisory position. Hayleigh has a particular interest in nursing critically ill patients and completed the Vets Now Emergency and Critical Care Certification in 2020, which she now tutors for, and more recently the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (ECC) at the Royal Veterinary College. Hayleigh enjoys all aspects of wards nursing but has a particular interest in nursing acute medical disorders, soft tissue surgical patients and sepsis. Hayleigh lectures regularly both online and in person, and is particularly passionate about Veterinary Nurses developing and utilising their vast clinical skills to provide evidence based best practice care to their patients.
