Mar graduated from the University Alfonso X el Sabio in 2015 and completed a European residency in anaesthesia and analgesia at the Animal Health Trust and Royal Veterinary College. In 2022 Mar passed the ECVAA exams and became a European Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Mar has worked in several referral hospitals in the United Kingdom, and now is the head of service at Eastcott Referrals.

Her main areas of interest are the management of critically ill patients, including patients with cardiovascular disease, as well as acute and chronic pain management.
