Structure and benefits

The course is structured into four modules with theoretical and practical content, where students will be educated on many aspects of critical care medicine. They will start by gaining a better understanding of the fundamentals of critical care, and how to recognise patients requiring this level of supportive treatment. Each module will be taught by one, or more, skilled veterinary professionals (nurses and vets) with experience and specialist qualifications in this field. Upon completion of the course, participants should feel more confident in utilising specialist equipment/facilities and managing critical care patients in a hospital setting.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at professions working in small animal clinics and hospitals with a keen interest in broadening both their knowledge and practical skill set in critical care veterinary medicine.
