Structure and benefits
The course is structured into four modules of theoretical classes in which students will learn to handle different clinical inpatient care situations in an organized manner. Each module will be taught by one or more veterinary professional with experience in major national-level centers to ensure the highest possible quality of education.
Target Audience
This course is aimed at professionals working in small animal clinics, both primary care and referral, with a special interest in inpatient care and who wish to expand their specialized knowledge, helping to strengthen their daily clinical experience.
This course will be highly beneficial for veterinary assistants who want to specialize and gain experience in the field of inpatient care.

- Hospitalization in canine patients
- Hospitalization in feline patient
- Hospitalization of exotic animals
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, basic and advanced life support
- Maths is fun: calculations during hospitalization
- Infection control in the wards setting

- Advanced care in surgery patients
- Advanced care in internal Medicine cases
- Advanced care in little creatures: the Exotic ward
- Advanced care in brain and spine cases
- Advanced care in Oncology patients
- Looking after eyes: Ophthalmology case
Module Summary:
- Triage of patients: Making sure we have the right ward for you
- Pain scoring: Controlling and managing pain during hospitalization
- Wound care: Comfortable bedding and sores preventions
- Recovery of patients after procedures
- Physiotherapy during hospitalization
- Nutrition: learning the calculations and the right diet for your patient
Module Summary:
- How to care for feeding tubes, the when and how
- Approach to the patient with a urinary catheter
- Continue rate infusions: How to love them
- Intravenous lines: there is a right way to keep them
- Blood testing and in house laboratory analysis
- Endoscopy work up and shut down

If you have chosen our instalment plan, the monthly payments must be made via direct debit within the first 10 days of each month.
All payments must be completed before the final exam in order for the Nursing course and credentials to be issued.
